Say Goodbye to Boring Lesson Plans!

Hello Reader,

Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating!

Bored Children

I have conducted hundreds of observations over the years and seen multiple settings in which teachers are uncertain and children are either running around or completely disengaged.

One of the reasons is that the lessons are boring, predictable and leave the children feeling unseen and unheard.

What Can You Do as a Manager to Combat Boredom in Preschools?

Here are 3 (of many) solutions:

  1. Be prepared. Show up as a leader who is knowledgeable and understands what is required for quality provision.
  2. Set clear goals for your teaching staff when it comes to lesson planning. Teachers need to know what to work towards and how to get there. As a leader it is important for you to guide teachers, particularly if they are newly qualified or lack experience in the field of early childhood education.
  3. Conduct research. Become familiar with the details of your chosen curriculum and stay up-to-date with best practices. This will help you when planning and reviewing your lesson plans.

I have many more ideas for creating engaging and curriculum-linked lesson plans.

Say goodbye to those boring lesson plans!

The parents in your community will thank you for it and the children will be happier!

Hello Reader, Why Put Flowers in the Fridge? Who does that? Why is this a thing?! For me, it’s about preservation. Holding on to a good feeling. Knowing that if the flowers are left out in the heat of the UAE (minus air conditioning), they will wilt earlier and then the reminder of joy at the time of receipt will also wane quickly. But does it make sense:)? The Beginning Putting flowers in the fridge started at least a year ago when I received a massive bouquet of flowers from my sister and...

The Possibility Coach in Dubai

Hello Reader, Anecdotes speak for themselves I trust that you are having a good weekend! I have had a peaceful one so far. I value peace. Peace of mind. Peace in everyday processes like rising, going to the gym, writing emails like this one. As one day leads to the next, by grace, I embrace what is simple and makes sense. You may have noticed that I like story. Anecdotes often provide a context. Today my story is values-based. I have lived in the UAE for over 20 years and view it as my home,...
